Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess who was soo engrossed and into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She would stay glued to the TV show and always had loads of chuckles while the theme song was being played. Little princess Z had her birthday around the corner and what better way to celebrate it than with a Mickey Mouse themed party. This was a very special birthday for her. Why?!... Because little Princess Z clocked 1 year and this was her first ever birthday party.  Oak'S signature stepped into the picture to organize this themed party and was a blast.

We certainly had an amazing time at the yard sale which was organized by Unveiling Africa (UVA) on the 9th of August 2014 at the Oxbridge Tutorial College. There was a good turnout and our latest summer collection which were on display sold out fast!

Oak'S is back! and with a new look at that. We went on this break you see and took a step back. You know the drill...taking a look at us from every angle, figuring things out every step of the way until we got our aha! moment.

 

We knocked the dust off our logo with this cool depiction of our brand* ...'cos when it comes to our accessory line, we wanted a truly sublime outcome...and we got it.

There's so much to be thankful in this year. 2014 truly came with a bang, as we both got married! Sez & Dy (January 11th) and Bc & Bj (March 1st).

Oak'S accessories line still remains, but we couldn't hold back on our sweet tooth and decided to try out the candy buffet, which I must confess was big success. We got both the young and elderly wanting a bite of our gummy bears, sugar sprinkled marshmallows, customized m&m's and cookies.

The silence at Oak'S

So it seems that we have been very quiet since our last post reason being that we have both been occupied with wedding plans.  Most weekends spent dress shopping and meeting with planners. In forthcoming posts we will be sharing tips in planning weddings.

I recently installed an app called "Our Wedding" from google play store, which helps budget, plan, assign deadlines for tasks and much more. There are a lot of planner apps out there and making use of one will help achieve a great success on your special day. There's a popular saying - those who fail to plan, plan to fail. Note its never to early to plan as this allows for providing alternatives which might come in handy. Decorators, photographers, bridal train, location, caterers, Dj, music band, MC and the list goes on and on. Categorize and break into tasks assigning deadlines and budget to keep track of spending.

Remember documenting these tasks help in ensuring no area is overlooked and most importantly bring to life that wedding fantasy!
